The Team

Stephen Maina Njenga
is a Kenyan who is passionate about peace building, humanity and social change. He is equally committed in bringing nonviolent communication (NVC) to business leadership through governance and cultural change.

Stephen is a certification candidate with the Center for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC). He is enjoying his journey on the certification path and celebrates self awareness, learning and growth that comes with it.

His desire is to bring positive change to Kenya youths and the world over. Through connection he is encouraged to continue with certification. Every day he celebrates Marshall Rosenberg for his enriching gift to humanity as he promotes social change.

Conie Miheso Khamati is an CNVC certification candidate from Kenya. She is an executive member of the NVC Kenyan Network and the National Youth Guidance and Counseling Association.

As a counseling psychology graduate from the University of Nairobi, she is passionate about the integration of NVC in her profession as well as in the provision of essential social services.

Her work in NVC as well as counseling targets to support youth, women and especially teenage mothers in their path towards living more fulfilled lives. She believes that women are an essential pillar of our society and therefore committed to amplifying their voice in a society where patriarchy has dominated for centuries.

Samwel Ogalah was born in the Western part of Kenya, from small sub tribe called Suba. He has experienced pain, trauma and hopelessness of being born in a marginalized community.

Samwel is a Certified Trainer of Nonviolent Communication by
CNVC since 2019. And currently the chair of the executive board of NVC Community network in Kenya, registered as Tuzungumze Amani Foundation.

He is a pioneer in teaching NVC and setting the local NVC association in Kenya. In addition, he's passionate in building coexistence, conflict resolution, mediation and hostage negotiation. Samwel offers a bridge within people of different understanding, experiences and perspectives.

Samuel Odhiambo is a CNVC certified trainer from Nairobi Kenya. 

Samuel Odhiambo is an NVC Mediator, board member of the NVC Kenya community, and Peace Ambassadors Kenya. He has been coordinating a youth regional peace program in Nairobi since 2013. 

He is passionate about shifting power hierarchy to power with. He has been in four IITs as an organizer and trainer in Kenya, Austria and Argentina.

The Organization

Tuzungumze Community Empowerment Hub is a Kenyan non-partisan non-government A-1 organization that specializes in peace building and conflict transformation through nonviolent communication (NVC) with the objective of promoting the peaceful coexistence of individuals, groups and communities by sharing the awareness/consciousness of NVC.  To achieve our objectives, we conduct NVC trainings, implement social change projects, facilitate mediation between individuals, groups and communities, among other peace initiatives.
